It is registered as a Charity with the Australian Federal Government. We are currently supporting 23 pastors, 5 schools, an orphanage and emergency relief in response to floods, typhoons and the cold of winter.

Kaylan Biswas, our Senior Pastor on the ground in Bangladesh, is visiting Sydney. He has been overseeing our network of ministries for over 10 years and is a prominent leader of Christian evangelism and Church planting across Bangladesh.

We would like all our supporters and friends to come and meet Kaylan and learn about all the fantastic work that is being done in Bangladesh.

New School starts its 2nd School Year

Our new school in the Gazipur District commenced its second school year in January 2023. Our school opened in January 2022 when all schools in Bangladesh were able to restart after an 18 month Covid closure. The school offers the national curriculum from Kindergarten to Year 10. The  school is open to everyone from all ethnic and religious backgrounds and is staffed by local, fully qualified  teachers. We have 60 enrollments in 2023 and the staff is working to build it up to 100 by the end of the year. The building is designed to allow for the construction up to 6 floors  over time to accommodate expansions in enrollments.

Work starts on new Multi-purpose Educational Facility

Work started in late January on a new Multi-purpose Educational Facility in the Sherpur district. The land was raised above flood level over a year ago and allowed to settle. This will provide much needed facilities for Adult Literacy, Skills Training and Health Awareness programs. Up to this point the community members have been meeting in the open or in cramped private homes in inclement weather. The building is scheduled for completion in April. Funds are currently required to complete the internal fit-out through our Multi-purpose Education Building Fund.

Inaugural Edna Doherty Award Presented

The inaugural Edna Doherty Award for the Most Improved Student in 2022 was awarded to Moinuddin.  Students from all grades in our new Tongi school are eligible for the award in memory of Edna Doherty. Moinuddin progressed very well through the course of his first year at the school and ended up topping 1st Grade in the end of year examinations.

The annual prize was presented in front of the whole school.
