The orphanage has been running since 2008 thanks to the faithful support of donors. There are 11 boys in the orphanage which cares holistically for the educational, emotional and basic material needs of the children. The boys attend the local school and college which helps give them a place in their local community. Their results at school have been well above the school average with many winning academic awards.
The orphanage is run by a dedicated couple both of whom were brought up in orphanages so they know the challenges of raising children in a larger environment. They have a daughter and a son.
The orphanage has been provided with sufficient padi fields to grow enough rice for the boys. We currently have a project to help cover the other costs at the orphanage.
